Meet the Team

Anuja King

A Seattle native and proud PNW local, Anuja brings heart and purpose to Transformative Builds. She handles the operations side of the business, keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. Outside of work, she’s a public servant as well as a passionate advocate for sustainability and enjoys gardening, camping, or gathering around a bonfire. She and Jeff are navigating toddlerhood together, with two dogs, a cat, and a second little one on the way.

Jeff King

Jeff has been building and remodeling since 2010, bringing over a decade of hands-on experience to every project. Before founding Transformative Builds, he built a successful career in tech managing large, complex projects, a discipline that carries directly into how he runs his builds. When he’s not on a job site, Jeff spends time giving back through volunteer work in his community.

Our Process

We aim for transparent communication and intentional workflows with every project.

Phase 1: Discovery & Alignment

We start by learning about your home and the vision you have for it. We discuss budget early, align on scope, and work through the core decisions that shape the project so that by the time we commit to building, everyone knows exactly what to expect.

Phase 2: Preconstruction & Commitment

Planning is essential to making the construction phase go smoothly. We address design refinements, material selections, permitting, existing conditions review, and final pricing so the build phase can move forward with clarity and confidence.

Phase 3: Construction & Completion

During construction, we keep clients informed through regular communication and scheduled progress check-ins, and once the final walkthrough is done, we formalize closeout and provide warranty information. If any questions or issues arise, we’re always standing by ready to help.
